Working with Virginia and Unleashed Canine Obedience has been one of the best things Clay and I could have done for our eight month old Border Collie/Beagle Mix, Domino. Domino has a lot of energy and is incredibly intelligent to the point where he was making up his own rules and we could barely control him. He was “herding” us up and down the stairs and he was constantly all over my three year old son begging him to play by jumping and nipping at his hands. We knew we had to do something to get our newest family member to behave and get us back in control.

We opted for a two week in-camp training course, where Domino was boarded at Camp Bow Wow during his training sessions. The live doggie cams let us watch how he interacted with the other dogs during his stay as well as catch a glimpse of some of his training sessions. The most invaluable portion came after those two weeks were up and we had our one-on-one session with Virginia where she taught us all the same commands she used and how to use the controller.

The day we picked up Domino, we immediately saw a change in him and were amazed at how he responded to Virginia. We wondered if he would keep up the good behavior once we took him home. With the training Virginia provided us and continuous practice on our part, Domino has done a complete turn around. He no longer jumps on my son or randomly nips at his hands. Walking with him outside is a great pleasure as well. We can go on hikes without his leash and know that he will always remain close to us and can use the controller just in case his enthusiasm looks like it will get the better of him.

The techniques Virginia has taught us have been priceless and have yielded immediate results as well as shown us how to make long-term lifestyle and household changes to improve our dogs' behavior.
